Xiaomi Mi8 Explorer Edition aka Mi8 EE features a 6.21-inches AMOLED display with 2248 x 1080 pixels and it has top notch like iPhone X. This smartphone is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 845 SDM845 octa-core processor with Adreno 630 GPU. Xiaomi Mi8 Explorer Edition is available in several variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM and 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM. The Mi8 Explorer Edition doesn’t have 3.5mm audio jack and microSD slot for storage expansion. In other words, users are able to listen to music through USB Type-C to 3.5mm converter.
Mi8 Explorer Edition has a dual camera module on the back – 12MP wide-angles lens (f/1.8 aperture) + 12MP telephoto lens (f/2.4 aperture). The fingerprint sensor is under the display and it also has 3D face unlock feature as well. Mi8 EE is also the first smartphone to have dual frequency GPS. HTC U12+ aka HTC U12 Plus features a 6-inches Super LCD 6 display with 2880 x 1440 pixels and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Display’s notch is trendy but HTC excludes it from this flagship. This flagship smartphone is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 845 SDM845 octa-core processor with Adreno 630 GPU. The U12+ is available in two variants – 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM and 6GB RAM + 256GB ROM. The device supports further storage expansion through microSD. HTC U12+ doesn’t have 3.5mm audio jack as USB Type-C audio has replaced it.

Other key camera features such as dual tone LED flash, PDAF, OIS, laser focus, UltraSpeed auto focus 2.0, Raw mode and etc. Meanwhile the front-facing camera is a combination of two 8MP cameras. The operating system is Sense UI based on Android 8.0 Oreo. Apart from the fingerprint sensor on the rear panel, the HTC U12+ also comes with Face Unlock feature. The battery is a 3,500mAh battery with QC3.0. One of main selling points of this device is the Edge Sense 2 that allow users to squeeze the device for application access.
