OnePlus 6 is the 2018 flagship for the popular smartphone brand. On the other hand, LG V30S ThinQ is the first flagship of ThinQ series. Which device features the best specifications? Let’s compare the specs of OnePlus 6 and LG V30S ThinQ.

OnePlus 6 features a 6.28-inches Optic AMOLED display with 2280 x 1080 pixels and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. If you like the top notch like iPhone X, you are able enable it for the OnePlus 6 as it has such feature. This smartphone is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 845 SDM845 octa-core processor with Adreno 630 GPU. OnePlus 6 is available in several variants – 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM, 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM and 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM. It has a 3.5mm audio jack for standard earphone but doesn’t come with microSD slot for storage expansion.

OnePlus 6 has a dual camera module on the back – 16MP (f/1.7 aperture, 1/2.6” Sony IMX519 sensor, 1.22um pixel size) + 20MP (Sony IMX376K sensor, f/1.7 aperture, 1.0um pixel size). Other key camera features such as Dual tone LED flash, OIS, EIS, DCAF focus, RAW image and 4K video recording. Meanwhile the front-facing camera is a 16MP shooter with EIS as well. The operating system of OnePlus 6 is Oxygen OS 5.1 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. The battery is a 3,300mAh battery with DASH charge. Apart from the fingerprint sensor on rear panel, it also has face recognition for unlock purpose. OnePlus 6 is also the first OnePlus smartphone with a glass back that is able to create a sense of depth as light and shadow move on the device. 

LG V30S ThinQ features a 6-inches 18:9 OLED display with 2880 × 1080 pixels and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. This flagship smartphone is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor with Adreno 540 GPU. The V30S ThinQ is available in several variants with 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM and 6GB RAM + 256GB ROM. The device supports further storage expansion through microSD. It also features 3.5mm audio jack while other flagships no longer have it.

LG V30S ThinQ has a dual camera module on the back – 16MP (f/1.6 aperture, 71-degree wide-angle lens) + 16MP (107-degree super-wide-angle lens, f/1.9 aperture). Other key camera features such as OIS, PDAF, Laser focus, LED flash, AI Cam, Super Bright Camera mode and Live Photo. Meanwhile the front-facing camera is a 5MP with 90-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.2 aperture. The operating system of LG V30S ThinQ is LG UX on top of Android 8.0 Oreo. Apart from the fingerprint sensor on the rear panel, it also has face recognition. The battery is a 3,300mAh battery with QC 3.0 and wireless charging. It is also rated IP68 for water and dust resistance as well as military standard MIL-STD 810G certified.
