Samsung Galaxy Note 8 features a 6.3-inches Infinity Display with Quad HD+ resolution. This flagship smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 octa-core processor, which consists of two sets of quad-core processor based on Kyro 280 and Adreno 540 GPU. The Galaxy Note 8 is still a 6GB RAM smartphone and there are three storage options available – 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. Galaxy Note 8 is also available in another variant that is powered by 64-bit Exynos 8895 octa-core processor and it depends on the region.
The rear-facing camera of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is a dual camera module, which consists of 12MP shooter (f/1.7 aperture, wide-angle lens, OIS) and 12MP shooter (telephoto lens, f2.4 aperture, OIS). The front-facing camera of is a 8MP shooter with f/1.7 aperture and wide-angle lens. For the OS, Samsung preloads it with Android 7.1.1 Nougat and will receive Android 8.0 Oreo in the future. The battery is a 3300mAh battery with fast charging both on wired and wireless. Due to the Infinity Display, the Note 8’s fingerprint sensor is also on the back panel. Samsung also ensures that the Note 8 is able to withstand the water splash and dust resistance.
iPhone 7 Plus features a 5.5-inches curved Retina IPS display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution (FHD). This flagship smartphone is powered by Apple A10 Fusion quad-core processor, which is the first quad-core A series processor and also the first iPhone with 3GB RAM (alongside iPhone 7).
The rear-facing camera of iPhone 7 Plus is a dual 12-megapixel wide-angle (f/1.8 aperture) and telephoto (f/2.8 aperture) cameras with OIS, 6p lens, Quad-LED True Tone flash, Sapphire crystal lens cover, BSI sensor while the front-facing camera is a 7-megapixel shooter with Retina Flash and f/2.0 aperture. The iPhone 7 Plus is pre-installed with iOS 10, which is the latest iOS version to-date.
Apple has improved the camera of iPhone 7 Plus, especially the dual cameras and also removed the 3.5mm audio jack. The home button also has been upgraded with a new button, which will use Apple’s “taptic engine” to click back at users. The most important is the IP67 standard Splash, Water, and Dust Resistant. The battery of iPhone 7 Plus is 2,900mAh, which is slightly larger than 2,750mAh of iPhone 6S Plus.
