Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus is the larger sibling of S8 as both feature the new Infinity Display. On the other hand, Mi Note 2 is the new flagship of Note series after the first Mi Note was launched about two years ago. Which device features the best specifications? Let’s compare the specs of Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, Mi Note 2 and Mi Note.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus features a 6.2-inches Infinity Display with Quad HD+ resolution. This flagship smartphone has two different processors as the US version is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 processor while EMEA regions will get 64-bit Exynos 8895 processor instead. S8 Plus is available in 4GB and 6GB RAM options while the internal storage options are 64GB and 128GB. Of course, it has a microSD slot too.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus has a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel camera, which consists of LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, PDAF, OIS while the front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel with f/1.7 aperture too. Honestly, its rather surprise that the S8 Plus doesn’t feature dual module camera. It is pre-installed with TouchWiz UI on top of Android 7.0 Nougat. For the battery, it comes with a 3,500mAh battery and supports Quick Charge. Another surprise feature is the fingerprint sensor as Samsung has moved it to the back panel rather than the original home button position. In addition, the device also boasts Ultra High Quality Audio Playback as well as IP68 standard of water and dust resistant.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features a 5.7-inches dual curved OLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution (FHD). This flagship smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 821 MSM8996 Pro quad-core processor, which consists of two sets of dual-core processor based on Kyro and Adreno 530 GPU. The RAM memory of Mi Note 2 is from 4GB while the internal storage options are 64GB and 128GB. Unfortunately, there is no microSD slot.

The rear-facing camera of Mi Note 2 is a 22.56-megapixel Sony IMX318 shooter with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash while the front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel shooter. The smartphone is pre-loaded with MIUI based on Android. The battery of Mi Note 2 is a 4,070mAh power battery, which is non-removable.

The fingerprint sensor of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is embedded onto the home button. There are two colors available – black and silver.

Xiaomi Mi Note has a 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with 1080p display resolution. It is powered by Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and 3GB of RAM memory. The main camera of Xiaomi Mi Note is a 13-megapixel Sony camera together with a 4-megapixel front-facing camera. The device is running on MIUI and will come with a 3,000mAh non-removable battery. The internal storage options of Mi Note are 16GB and 64GB, but it doesn’t support microSD expansion.
