Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus is the larger sibling of S8 as both feature the new Infinity Display. On the other hand, Xplay 6 is the latest high end flagship from Vivo and the Xplay 5 is the predecessor. Which device features the best specifications? Let’s compare the specs of Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, Vivo Xplay 6 and Vivo Xplay 5.   

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus features a 6.2-inches Infinity Display with Quad HD+ resolution. This flagship smartphone has two different processors as the US version is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 processor while EMEA regions will get 64-bit Exynos 8895 processor instead. S8 Plus is available in 4GB and 6GB RAM options while the internal storage options are 64GB and 128GB. Of course, it has a microSD slot too.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus has a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel camera, which consists of LED flash, f/1.7 aperture, PDAF, OIS while the front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel with f/1.7 aperture too. Honestly, its rather surprise that the S8 Plus doesn’t feature dual module camera. It is pre-installed with TouchWiz UI on top of Android 7.0 Nougat. For the battery, it comes with a 3,500mAh battery and supports Quick Charge. Another surprise feature is the fingerprint sensor as Samsung has moved it to the back panel rather than the original home button position. In addition, the device also boasts Ultra High Quality Audio Playback as well as IP68 standard of water and dust resistant.

Vivo Xplay 6 features a 5.46-inches 3D dual-curved Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution (Quad HD). This flagship smartphone is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor and 6GB of RAM. The internal storage of Xplay 6 is 128GB UFS 2.0.

There are two rear-facing cameras – 12-megapixel (Sony IMX362) and 5-megapixel with f/1.7 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, 4-axis OIS while the front-facing camera is a 16-megapixel shooter (f/2.0 aperture+soft selfie light). The Vivo Xplay 6 is pre-loaded with Funtouch OS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The battery is a 4,080mAh power battery, which is non-removable and supports Quick Charge 3.0.

The fingerprint sensor of Vivo Xplay 6 is embedded onto the home button. There are two colors available – rose gold and gold.

Vivo Xplay 5S (6GB RAM) has a 5.43-inch YOUM curved display with Quad HD resolution. It is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 820 MSM8996 quad-core processor and 6GB of RAM memory. Xplay 5 has a 16-megapixel Sony IMX298 rear-facing camera alongside an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. This 4G LTE smartphone is running on Funtouch OS 2.6 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with a 3,600mAh non-removable battery. The internal storage of Vivo Xplay 5S (6GB RAM) is 128GB and the fingerprint scanner is on the back.
