BARCELONA – Chinese brand Lenovo has officially unveiled its latest smartphone at MWC 2017 – Moto G5 Plus. It is a mid-range Android smartphone. Let’s take a look at the device’s specs and details.
Moto G5 Plus features a 5.2-inches touchscreen display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution (FHD) and Gorilla Glass 3, which is sufficient for daily usage. The 5.2-inches display fits into the dimensions that measure at 150.2 x 74 x 7.9 mm and weights at 155g.
For performance-wise, it is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 octa-core processor, which consists of eight Cortex A53 cores and Adreno 506 GPU. The RAM options of Moto G Plus are 2GB, 3GB and 4GB while the internal storage options are 32GB and 64GB. You don’t have to worry about storage because it also supports external storage expansion through microSD card.
This 5.2-inches device has a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 camera on the back with dual tone LED flash, Dual-Pixel Autofocus and f/1.7 aperture alongside a 5-megapixel OmniVision OV5695 front-facing camera (f/2.2 aperture) for both selfie and video calls. With the supportive LED flash, users are able to capture brighter photos during the night and under low light conditions. Furthermore, the LED flash is can be used as a flash light as well.
Regarding its network support, Moto G Plus is compatible with multiple LTE network bands and supports dual SIM, hence users are able to insert two SIM cards together. Other key features/specs are USB OTG (TBC), NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, multiple sensors, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, as well as a micro USB port instead of reversible USB Type-C.
Android 7.0 Nougat version is the operating system of Moto G5 Plus. As for the battery, it does come with 3,000mAh of battery juice (non-removable and Turbo charging). The Moto G5 Plus doesn’t support water resistant but it uses a water-repellent coating to protect your phone from water splash or spill.
Moto G5 Plus has a fingerprint sensor, which embedded onto the home button. This Nougat flavoured smartphone is available in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold colors. The Moto G5 Plus with 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM costs EUR 229 while 3GB RAM version costs extra 50 Euros. On the other hand, the 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM version is only available in selected markets but the pricing remains unknown. Its coming in March in various countries across Latin America, Europe, Asia Pacific and North America.
