Huawei Honor V9 vs Sony Xperia XZ vs Xperia X Compact




Huawei Honor V9 is the high end smartphone that endorsed by Chinese swimmer Sun Yang. On the other hand, Sony Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact are the flagship devices from Sony for the second half of 2016. Which device features the best specifications? Let’s compare the specs of Huawei Honor V9, Sony Xperia XZ and Sony Xperia X Compact.

Huawei Honor V9 features a 5.7-inches LTPS display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution (Quad HD). This flagship smartphone is powered by 64-bit Hisilicon Kirin 960 octa-core processor, which consists of four Cortex A73 cores and four A53 cores, as well as i6 co-processor and Mali G71 Octa-core GPU. The RAM memory options are 4GB and 6GB. There are two ROM options available – 64GB and 128GB while there is a slot for storage expansion.

The Huawei Honor V9 features a dual camera module, which consists of two 12-megapixel cameras on the back with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, laser auto focus, dual tone LED flash alongside an 8-megapixel front-facing camera (f/2.0 aperture). This Honor smartphone is pre-installed with EMUI 5.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. Regarding the fingerprint sensor, it is mounted on the rear panel. The colors available are blue, black, gold and red.

Sony Xperia XZ features a 5.2-inches IPS LCD display with FHD resolution. It is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor and 3GB of RAM memory. The device is available in two storage options – 32GB and 64GB. There is a microSD slot for storage expansion as well.

The rear-facing camera of Xperia XZ is a 23-megapixel shooter with LED flash, Exmor RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive Hybrid AF, 5-axis stabilization and 4K video recording. On the other hand, another camera on the front is a 13-megapixel with 1/3” Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens and 1080p video recording. The operating system of Xperia XZ is Xperia UI on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the battery is a 2,900mAh built-in battery. Aside from the water/dust resistant, its fingerprint sensor is on the power button, which is rather unique.

Sony Xperia XZ is available in single-SIM and dual-SIM versions. Sony Xperia XZ is also the first Sony smartphone to come with USB type-C port instead of the traditional micro USB.

Sony Xperia X Compact features a 4.6-inches IPS LCD display with HD resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 650 MSM8956 hexa-core processor, which consists of two Cortex A72 cores, four Cortex A53 cores and Adreno 510 GPU as well as 3GB of RAM memory. The internal storage is 32GB and there is a microSD slot for storage expansion as well.

The rear-facing camera of Xperia X Compact is a LED flash, Exmor RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive Hybrid AF, 5-axis stabilization and 4K video recording. On the other hand, another camera on the front is a 5-megapixel with 1/3.06″ Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens and 1080p video recording. The operating system of Xperia X Compact is Xperia UI on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the battery is a 2,700mAh built-in battery. Aside from the water/dust resistant, its fingerprint sensor is on the power button, which is rather unique.

Sony Xperia X Compact is also the first Sony smartphone to come with USB type-C port instead of the traditional micro USB.
