HTC U Ultra is the first flagship of the U series. On the other hand, the Axon 7 is a high end flagship device with 6GB RAM while the Axon 7 Mini is a smaller version with mid-range hardware. Which device features the best specifications? Let’s compare the specs of HTC U Ultra, ZTE Axon 7 and Axon 7 Mini.

HTC U Ultra features a 5.7-inches Super LCD 5 display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution (Quad HD) and a secondary display, which is similar to the LG V20. This flagship smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 821 MSM8996 Pro quad-core processor, which consists of two sets of dual-core processor based on Kyro and Adreno 530 GPU. The RAM memory of HTC U Ultra is 4GB and the internal storage is 64GB with further expansion through microSD.

The rear-facing camera of HTC U Ultra is a 12-megapixel HTC UltraPixel 2 with f/1.8 aperture, dual LED flash, OIS, PDAF and 1.55um pixel size while the front-facing camera is a 16-megapixel shooter (f/2.0 aperture). The HTC U Ultra is pre-loaded with HTC Sense based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The battery of HTC U Ultra is a 3,000mAh power battery. HTC continues its stellar music experience by introducing the HTC Usonic, HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition and 3D Audio recording with 4 microphones on the HTC U Ultra. The fingerprint sensor of HTC U Ultra is embedded onto the home button.

ZTE Axon 7 or ZTE Axon Tianji 7 features a 5.5-inches AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution. This flagship smartphone is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor and the RAM memory options are from 4GB onward. The rear-facing camera of Axon 7 smartphone is a 20-megapixel shooter while the front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel shooter.

The operating system is MiFavor UI 4.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it supports multiple 4G LTE and 4G+ bands. The battery of Axon 7 is 3,140mAh built-in battery. The fingerprint sensor of ZTE Axon 7 is on the back panel right below the camera lens. The Axon 7 is available in three different models – 4GB RAM+64GB ROM, 4GB RAM+128GB ROM and the ultimate 6GB RAM+128GB ROM. It also supports storage expansion up to 128GB.

ZTE Axon 7 Mini features a 5.2-inches AMOLED display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. This flagship smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 617 MSM8952 octa-core processor, which consists of two sets of four Cortex A53 cores and Adreno 405 GPU alongside 3GB of RAM. The internal storage of Axon 7 Mini is 32GB and can be expanded further with a microSD card.

The rear-facing camera of ZTE Axon 7 Mini is a 16-megapixel shooter with f/1.9 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and PDAF while the front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.2 aperture. The Axon 7 Mini is preloaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow version of operating system. The USB port is also the new USB Type-C while the battery has 2,705mAh power.

The fingerprint sensor of Axon 7 Mini is on the back panel, right below the camera lens. There are stereo speakers on the front-panel as well.
