HTC U Ultra vs Google Pixel vs Pixel XL




HTC U Ultra is the first flagship of the U series. On the other hand, Google Pixel and Pixel XL are the two new smartphones that replaced Nexus series. Which device features the best specifications? Let’s compare the specs of HTC U Ultra, Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL.   

HTC U Ultra features a 5.7-inches Super LCD 5 display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution (Quad HD) and a secondary display, which is similar to the LG V20. This flagship smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 821 MSM8996 Pro quad-core processor, which consists of two sets of dual-core processor based on Kyro and Adreno 530 GPU. The RAM memory of HTC U Ultra is 4GB and the internal storage is 64GB with further expansion through microSD.

The rear-facing camera of HTC U Ultra is a 12-megapixel HTC UltraPixel 2 with f/1.8 aperture, dual LED flash, OIS, PDAF and 1.55um pixel size while the front-facing camera is a 16-megapixel shooter (f/2.0 aperture). The HTC U Ultra is pre-loaded with HTC Sense based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The battery of HTC U Ultra is a 3,000mAh power battery. HTC continues its stellar music experience by introducing the HTC Usonic, HTC BoomSound Hi-Fi edition and 3D Audio recording with 4 microphones on the HTC U Ultra. The fingerprint sensor of HTC U Ultra is embedded onto the home button.

Google Pixel aka HTC Pixel features a 5.0-inches AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution (FHD). This flagship smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 821 MSM8996 Pro quad-core processor, which consists of two sets of dual-core processor based on Kyro and Adreno 530 GPU, alongside 4GB of RAM. The storage options of Google Pixel are 32GB and 128GB, but it doesn’t support storage expansion.

The rear-facing camera of Google Pixel is a 12.3-megapixel Sony IMX378 camera with LED flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture while the front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel shooter. The HTC-built Pixel is pre-loaded with pure Android 7.1 Nougat, which is the first smartphones with Android 7.1 version (not Android 7.0). The battery of Google Pixel is a 2,770mAh power battery, which is non-removable.

Google Pixel is one of the first Pixel smartphones from Google in the post Nexus-era. The fingerprint sensor of it is on the back panel, right above the Google logo. In addition, Google has removed the builder’s logo from the back panel.

This flagship smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 821 MSM8996 Pro quad-core processor, which consists of two sets of dual-core processor based on Kyro and Adreno 530 GPU, alongside 4GB of RAM. The storage options of Google Pixel XL are 32GB and 128GB, but it doesn’t support storage expansion.
