Taiwanese brand HTC has officially unveiled its latest smartphone – HTC U Play. It is a middle-range Android smartphone with 4G LTE support. Let’s take a look at the device’s specs and details.
HTC U Play features a 5.2-inches Super LCD touchscreen display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution (FHD) and 428ppi, which is more than sufficient for daily usage. The 5.0-inches display fits into the dimensions that measure at 145.99 x 72.9 x 3.5 ~ 7.99 mm and weights at 145g.
For performance-wise, it is powered by 64-bit MediaTek Helio P10 MT6755 octa-core processor, which consists of eight Cortex A53 cores and Mali T860 MP2 GPU alongside 4GB of RAM memory. The internal storage of HTC U Play is 64GB and you don’t have to worry about storage because it also supports external storage expansion through microSD card.
This 5.2-inches device has a 16-megapixel camera on the back with dual-tone LED flash, OIS, BSI sensor, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, auto focus alongside another 16-megapixel UltraPixel front-facing camera for both selfie and video calls. With the supportive LED flash, users are able to capture brighter photos during the night and under low light conditions. Furthermore, the LED flash is can be used as a flash light as well.
Regarding its network support, HTC U Play is compatible with multiple LTE network bands and supports dual SIM, hence users are able to insert two SIM cards together. Other key features/specs are USB OTG, NFC, Miracast, DLNA, 3.5mm audio jack, multiple sensors, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, as well as a reversible USB Type-C instead of a micro USB port.
HTC Sense based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow version is the operating system of HTC U Play. As for the battery, it does come with 2,500mAh of battery juice (non-removable).
HTC U Play has a fingerprint sensor, which embedded onto the home button. HTC U Play features HTC Sense Companion and HTC USonic sans BoomSound speakers.
This Marshmallow flavoured smartphone is available in Sapphire Blue, Comestic Pink, Brilliant Black and Ice White colors and costs NTD 13,900 in Taiwan. There is another model with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage, where its price is unknown.
