Mi Mix is an edge-less flagship from Xiaomi with breakthrough design and specs. On the other hand, Sony Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact are the flagship devices from Sony for the second half of 2016. Which device features the best specifications? Let’s compare the specs of Xiaomi Mi Mix, Sony Xperia XZ and Sony Xperia X Compact.

Xiaomi Mi Mix features a 6.4-inches Edge-less display with 1080 x 2040 pixel resolution (FHD). This flagship smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 821 MSM8996 Pro quad-core processor, which consists of two sets of dual-core processor based on Kyro and Adreno 530 GPU. The RAM memory of Mi Mix from 4GB while the internal storage options are 128GB and 256GB. Unfortunately, there is no microSD slot.

The rear-facing camera of Mi Mix is a 16-megapixel OmniVison OV16880 with dual tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture while the front-facing camera is a 5-megapixel shooter. The smartphone is pre-loaded with MIUI based on Android. The battery of Mi Mix is a 4,400mAh power battery, which is non-removable.

The fingerprint sensor of Mi Mix is embedded on the rear panel, which is below the camera lens. There are two colors available – white and black colors. For the versions, it is available in 4GB RAM+128GB ROM and 6GB RAM+256GB ROM.

Sony Xperia XZ features a 5.2-inches IPS LCD display with FHD resolution. It is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor and 3GB of RAM memory. The device is available in two storage options – 32GB and 64GB. There is a microSD slot for storage expansion as well.

The rear-facing camera of Xperia XZ is a 23-megapixel shooter with LED flash, Exmor RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive Hybrid AF, 5-axis stabilization and 4K video recording. On the other hand, another camera on the front is a 13-megapixel with 1/3” Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens and 1080p video recording. The operating system of Xperia XZ is Xperia UI on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the battery is a 2,900mAh built-in battery. Aside from the water/dust resistant, its fingerprint sensor is on the power button, which is rather unique.

Sony Xperia XZ is available in single-SIM and dual-SIM versions. Sony Xperia XZ is also the first Sony smartphone to come with USB type-C port instead of the traditional micro USB.

Sony Xperia X Compact features a 4.6-inches IPS LCD display with HD resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 650 MSM8956 hexa-core processor, which consists of two Cortex A72 cores, four Cortex A53 cores and Adreno 510 GPU as well as 3GB of RAM memory. The internal storage is 32GB and there is a microSD slot for storage expansion as well.

The rear-facing camera of Xperia X Compact is a LED flash, Exmor RS sensor, 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0 lens, Predictive Hybrid AF, 5-axis stabilization and 4K video recording. On the other hand, another camera on the front is a 5-megapixel with 1/3.06″ Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens and 1080p video recording. The operating system of Xperia X Compact is Xperia UI on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the battery is a 2,700mAh built-in battery. Aside from the water/dust resistant, its fingerprint sensor is on the power button, which is rather unique.

Sony Xperia X Compact is also the first Sony smartphone to come with USB type-C port instead of the traditional micro USB.
