iPhone 7 Plus with dual cameras is one of the Apple’s flagships in 2016. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is the (probably) the best Android phone to-date. Which device features the best specifications? Let’s compare the specs of Apple iPhone 7 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
iPhone 7 Plus features a 5.5-inches curved Retina IPS display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution (FHD). This flagship smartphone is powered by Apple A10 Fusion quad-core processor, which is the first quad-core A series processor and also the first iPhone with 3GB RAM (alongside iPhone 7).
The rear-facing camera of iPhone 7 Plus is a dual 12-megapixel wide-angle (f/1.8 aperture) and telephoto (f/2.8 aperture) cameras with OIS, 6p lens, Quad-LED True Tone flash, Sapphire crystal lens cover, BSI sensor while the front-facing camera is a 7-megapixel shooter with Retina Flash and f/2.0 aperture. The iPhone 7 Plus is pre-installed with iOS 10, which is the latest iOS version to-date.
Apple has improved the camera of iPhone 7 Plus, especially the dual cameras and also removed the 3.5mm audio jack. The home button also has been upgraded with a new button, which will use Apple’s “taptic engine” to click back at users. The most important is the IP67 standard Splash, Water, and Dust Resistant. The battery of iPhone 7 Plus is 2,900mAh, which is slightly larger than 2,750mAh of iPhone 6S Plus.
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 features a 5.7-inches curved Super AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution. This flagship smartphone is powered by either 64-bit Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor or Exynos 8890 octa-core processor. The RAM memory of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is 4GB, which is rather a disappointment as the Korean company is yet to jump onto 6GB RAM bandwagon.
The rear-facing camera of Galaxy Note 7 is a 12-megapixel shooter with LED flash, dual pixel PDAF, Smart OIS, f/1.7 aperture while the front-facing camera is a 5-megapixel shooter with f/1.7 aperture too. TouchWiz UI on top of Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is the operating system of Galaxy Note 7 and comes with a 3,500mAh non-removable battery. Iris scanner on the front is also first of its kind for a flagship smartphone from major brands alongside fingerprint sensor and heart rate sensor.
Samsung has improved the Note 7 further with IP68 ratings water and dust resistance. Improved S Pen stylus and USB Type-C port are another two important features of Galaxy Note 7.
