Japanese carrier NTT Docomo is busy with the release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates in the past few weeks and the updates has been rolling out to older devices such as Galaxy Note Edge SC-01G.
NTT Docomo has announced that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is currently rolling out to Samsung Galaxy Note Edge SC-01G in the Japanese market. The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge SC-01G was announced with Android 4.4 KitKat before being updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop. Hence, this is a good news for Samsung Galaxy Note Edge SC-01G users out there.
The new Marshmallow update will bring enhancements such as app permissions, doze battery saver, RAM manager, Android Pay as well as native fingerprint support and etc. These are some of the notable features in Marshmallow, but manufacturers are able to modify them accordingly and other additional tweaks and features are included as well.
Kindly connect your device to Wi-Fi before proceed to the system update because the file size is a few hundreds MB. You don’t have to worry if your device is yet to receive the update because NTT is rolling out the Marshmallow update by batches. You also can manually check for the update through the settings in your device. Do back up your device before proceed to the update.
