Chinese brand Huawei has officially launched its latest smartphone at CES 2016 – Huawei GX8. The new smartphone is ranks as a mid-range smartphone runs on Android OS and supports 4G LTE. Let’s take a look at the specs of Huawei GX8.
Huawei GX8 has a 5.5-inch LCD touchscreen display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution (FHD). For performance-wise, it is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 616 MSM8939v2 octa-core processor based on two sets of quad-core Cortex A53 as well as Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM memory. The internal storage of Huawei GX8 is 16GB and you don’t have to worry about storage because it supports storage expansion through microSD card.
This 5.5-inch device features a 13-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash alongside a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie and video calls. Both cameras are equipped with CMOS image sensor that improves the camera quality. Other key features/specs of Huawei GX8 smartphone are USB OTG (TBC), 3.5mm audio jack, multiple sensors, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
Regarding the network, Huawei GX8 is compatible with multiple LTE network bands. As a result, the device supports maximum download speed on 4G of 150Mbps and maximum upload speed on 4G of 50Mbps due to the support of LTE Cat. 4 band. One of the main selling points of Huawei GX8 is the fingerprint sensor.
EMUI 3.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop is the operating system of Huawei GX8. As for the battery, it does come with 3,000mAh of battery juice.
This Lollipop flavoured smartphone is $349 in the United States.
