While Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus on September 9th, the lower price iPhone 6C is unlikely to make its debut on the stage. Sources claim that the Cupertino based company has no plan to launch the new plastic iPhone in this year.
According to 9to5mac, Apple has been working on a new 4-inch iPhone with the capabilities of last year’s iPhone 6, the device is not yet ready to ship. On the other hand, the Tim Cook leads company has also internally prototyped a new, smaller iPhone with a 3.5-inch display. However, it is unlikely that Apple will introduce a “tiny” iPhone with a display size below 4-inch.
In addition to not releasing a new iPhone 6C, the Cupertino based company is said to discontinue the current iPhone 5c after the arrival of new 6S and 6S Plus. Apple will retain the iPhone 5S for the low range while iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are for mid-range while the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are definitely for the high end market. The prices of both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will decrease once the iPhone 6S/6S Plus become available in the market.
Both iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are ready for launch on September 9th.
