At the WinHEC 2015 in Shenzhen, Microsoft had announced Lenovo, Tencent and Qihoo 360 as the main partners of Windows 10 in China.
Lenovo is the world’s no.1 PC vendor and the Chinese firm will pre-install the Windows 10 operating system in new systems. Lenovo stated that there are about 2500 customer service centers and authorized dealers in China that will responsible for the Windows 10 update. Furthermore, Lenovo will also release Windows Phone for China Mobile in the summer.
Tencent has about 800 million QQ users in China and it is the service provider of most popular social network and games in China. Tencent announced that it will responsible for releasing free Windows 10 update for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users in China through its Guanjia software. Several applications of Tencent such as QQ and Tencent as well as popular games such as League of Legends, Crossfire and Dungeon Fire will be included in the free Windows 10 update. Tencent is the exclusive agent of these games in the Chinese market.
For Qihoo 360, it has about 500 million users in China. The popular anti virus company will release the free Windows 10 update through its anti virus software. The free Windows 10 upgrade from Qihoo 360 will come with 360 Anti Virus and other add-ons from Qihoo.
Of course, users in China can also download the update from Microsoft and install it with standard installation procedure.
