We all know that all the devices in the market were tested for numerous times before release to the market. Well. This is the same for the upcoming Google Nexus 8 tablet as the unannounced tablet is on its way to India for testing.

A device by the name of Nexus 8 tablet was spotted on the import-export database. The database clearly stated that the Nexus 8 tablet is a prototype which is similar to the Nexus 7 tablet. The are two units of Nexus 8 tablet arrived in India through Banglore Air Cargo a week ago, July 7th. The database also revealed the value of Nexus 8 – INR$16,484 (around $275 in USD).

We are pretty sure that it is true that Google and other manufacturer working on the Nexus 8 tablet.
Unfortunately, the database did not reveal the specs and also manufacturing company of Nexus 8. Since the database claimed that Nexus 8 is similar to the Nexus 7, the size should be around same range as the 7-inch Nexus 7. 8-inch is the ideal size for Nexus 8 and it is exactly same range with the iPad Mini (7.95-inch) too!

Previously, a report mentioned that the new Nexus tablet is known by the codename of Volantis from HTC. However, neither HTC nor GSM Insider is able to confirm about the news. On the other hand, the possible manufacturers of Nexus 8 are HTC, LG and Asus. LG is the developer of Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 while Asus is the developer of Nexus 7 tablet. A new HTC Nexus 8 could provide fresh air to the Nexus series.
