HTC M8, the purported successor of HTC One (M7) is the upcoming flagship of the Taiwanese company in order to compete with Apple and Samsung in the smartphone market. Well. We continue to use the name of HTC M8 since we still don’t have the official name for it.
Two unannounced devices – HTC M8x and HTC D310W were certified by the POSTEL Indonesia back on 13 January 2014. The POSTEL is the certification authority of the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information which is similar to the FCC in the United States.
Of the names above, we are pretty sure that the HTC M8x is refers to the HTC M8, successor of the HTC One. This means that the launch date for it should be around the corner since it had been certified for launch in the Asean country.
As for the HTC D310w, it could be the new member of the HTC Desire series. Don’t expect any high flying specs from the HTC Desire 310 since the Desire series is a middle/low range series. The HTC D310w is expected to launch in the emerging markets that include Indonesia.
The MWC 2014 is about a month away and the HTC M8 still have sufficient time to make its way to the annual event in Barcelona. After HTC One and HTC One Max, the Taiwanese brand needs a new flagship to maintain in the market. Let’s pray hard HTC M8 is a breakthrough device in the market and able to compete with the flagships from Apple, Samsung, Sony and LG.
