A few days ago, TCL Corporation had announced that the upcoming flagship is known as the Idol X+. The Idol X+ has an octa-core processor as mentioned by the Chinese company on its micro-blog. TCL will partner with Chinese online retailer, JD.com to release the Idol X+ smartphone.
The Idol X+ is believed to be the successor of the Idol X in the market. The Idol X has a 5-inch 1080p display, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and a 13-megapixel main camera. Therefore, the Idol X+ is definitely better than the Idol X and has enhanced specs.
The images above showed the Idol X+ handset that leaks in China. The handset looks thin and the bezel is also looks thin as well. There is a rear-facing camera and LED flash. The MediaTek logo was spotted on the back cover of the device. This means that the device is indeed powered by processor from MediaTek.
TCL Corporation might release the Idol X+ in the global markets with Alcatel branding. TCL is the owner of the Alcatel Mobile and most of the TCL smartphones were released in the global markets as Alcatel smartphones. Therefore, the international names of the TCL Idol X+ could be Alcatel Idol X+ or Alcatel One Touch Idol X+.
