The Huawei Ascend P6 S that was certified by the Chinese authority had confirmed that the device will not have an octa-core processor. Well. The new Hisilicon Kirin910 processor has been revealed by ARM earlier.
The Hisilicon Kirin910 is tipped to be the successor of the Hisilicon K3V2 processor. The product description revealed by ARM showed that the Hisilicon Kirin910 is a quad-core Cortex-A9 processor and Mali 450 graphics processing unit. ARM promised that the Mali 450 GPU will provide “perfectly smooth gaming experience”.
The appearance of Hisilicon Kirin910 and also filing from China had confirmed the quad-core processor inside the Huawei Ascend P6 S. However, it remains unsure whether the name of “Hisilicon Kirin910” is the official name or it is just the Codename of the “Hisilicon K3V3”.
The Hisilicon K3V3 had been tipped for a long time that it is the successor of the Hisilicon K3V2. But Hisilicon Kirin910 had caused more doubts to the upcoming Hisilicon processor from Huawei. We hope to bring more details about the performance of Hisilicon Kirin910 in the future and will compare them with other processors in the market.
