Motorola is a Google company but the Moto X is preloaded with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. This is kinda disappointed for Moto X fans out there. Most of the people want the Moto X to be preloaded with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with reasons. The main reason because Google is owner of Motorola and users want Google to release latest software to the Moto X.
Motorola Mobility CEO has some words for you. He said that the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for Moto X is nearing its completion. The reason why Motorola did not preload Android 4.3 is because Motorola wants the carriers to develop the software before release to the device. This means that the carriers will responsible for the software update of Moto X, not Google or Motorola.
There are only slight differences between the Android 4.3 and Android 4.2.2 since both are under the same Jelly Bean moniker. The real game changing software is the upcoming Android 5.0 that was leaked earlier.
