Well. HTC must be very proud of the metal design of the HTC One as it plans to use it for future devices. In other word, the Taiwanese company is going through the path similar to Samsung. The HTC One Max has been spotted in Taiwan website, ePrice.

According to ePrice, the device above is known as the HTC T6, also known as the HTC One Max. The HTC One Max is the larger version of the HTC One in the market.

The Taiwanese website mentioned that the HTC One Max is currently being tested in China. HTC plans to release three different variants to China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom in order to cater to the local Chinese market. HTC One Max TD-SCDMA is for China Mobile, HTC One Max CDMA is for China Telecom and the HTC One Max WCDMA is for the China Unicom.

HTC One Max has a similar design with HTC One and HTC One Mini. It features 5.9-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. The HTC One Max has an enhanced display as you can see the device has a thinner bezel than its predecessor. The HTC One is powered by the Snapdragon 600 and the HTC One Max will be powered by Snapdragon 800 processor.

The Snapdragon 800 in HTC One Max is clocked up to 2.3GHz. The 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM able to bring better performance to the device itself. Still, the HTC One Max has Ultrapixel Camera and 2.1MP of a front facing camera.

The difference between HTC One Max and HTC One is the larger device has a removable back cover and supports MicroSD expansion. The battery capacity of HTC One Max is also larger, a 3300mAh battery.

For the operating system, rumors stated that it is likely to feature Android 5.0 but the realistic version still Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Why Android 4.3 Jelly Bean? Because Google is unlikely the new Android 5.0 in such a short period.

Looks brilliant but it’s took big for my liking. I prefer the HTC One.

It does seem to be a bit on the larger side of the type of device I’m looking for, but here in the US it will be the only HTC offering made by Verizon that will be worth considering in this quarter. Or this year, IMO. Other than the Ultra Pixel camera, which is getting mixed reviews, it sounds like it will be the pinnacle of devices, spec wise. I wonder why the removable back if the battery will not be interchangeable? Which is another negative mark for the device, but because the problems with battery life won’t begin to show themselves until about the end of the first year no one will likely complain early on.
